Do as you are told, dog
Computer
mavens, please tell me, is there any way in Windows XP to resize a
window that has been set not to allow resizing and maximization? You
might think that if the user clearly indicates that he wants some
window to be larger, the system wouldn't have the nerve to tell him
that he cannot do that. I believe this was one of the design flaws
listed in Tog's Bughouse... yep, it's the very first one in the page "Pandemic Bugs".
Certain blogs also use small comment windows which cannot be resized, apparently telling me and the other reader just to go fuck ourselves. Even some Windows applications still use the obsolete file selection dialog that shows a teeny tiny peephole to the list of files and cannot possibly be enlarged in any way. What is this, year 1992 all over again?

Some small-scale software is hardwired to run at a specific window sizing. So force-resize can come at a price of malfunctioning or even crashing.
(Yeah yeah yeah, such software is crappy, but welcome to reality)
