Spearheading the tipping point

The publisher emailed me the design for the book cover, and I just finished writing the text for the back cover. The publisher also asked me to send them a headshot. Perhaps I should go to a professional photographer and get a picture in which I wear a black turtleneck and smile at the camera while my chin rests comfortably on my fist, as adviced in Greg Gutfeld's post "Huffpo Emergency Bush Bash Blog Application for the Victims Of All Disasters Everywhere!"

The book also needs a title page and copyright page inside it, but I have given up all hope of making OpenOffice understand that the first page in the document is not page number 1, but the real page number 1 comes later in the document. If anybody knows how to do this, please let me know in the comments. But then again, it's not like combining two PDF files into one file is a complex task.
