The mellow bombthrower

Tommi makes two simple observations:

I read in the newspaper that ethics should control science instead of other way around. As far as I know, ethics (at least the part that provides "answers") is a mixture of superstition and misuse of everyday language.
I reckon that with respect to their moral sense, humans can be divided in two groups. Those who wish that the people they hate would suffer, and those who wish that they would just vanish.

What do you mean by "ethics controlling science?" I agree that ethical considerations ought not to make us lie about scientific discoveries, but ethics really should control how we conduct research. Unless, of course, you would have no problem with kidnapping people off the streets to experiment on them.
