The truth about cats and dogs
Somebody
recently wondered why the exact same people who are the most concerned
about the disappearing middle class because of the combination of
automation, outsourcing and the withering of unions, also seem to be
the noisiest cheerleaders for completely unlimited illegal immigration.
If I only remembered who pointed this out, I would properly credit him,
but then again, the paradox is so obvious at least once pointed out
that I am sure that many people have wondered about this perplexing
conundrum for a long time now. It's almost like their one hand doesn't
know what the other one is doing. Ah well, while we think about that,
we can note in the same spirit the website "Choose Black America",
which may or may not be afroturf that has been cynically laid down by
some lobbying group. Either way, at least it has the potential to be an
extremely efficient mindbomb. Many other people have also pointed out
that in practice, as a group blacks and hispanics are not always super
happy best friends, so it is interesting to see how this develops.
In other news, us Finns have always been a nation of mannerless drunks who just have to drink all booze that is available to them, aiming to get drunk instead of conversing together in a patio while gently sipping one glass of wine for hours. I can't deny that this wouldn't be true at least for the Finnish "pissis" teenagers, who roam the streets at night falling-down drunk in a manner that just never seems to take place around here in Canada. The Finnish intelligentsia never tires of reminding the hicks about them being such obnoxious low-class drinkers, and they look longingly to Europe where the drinking culture is completely different, more restrained and civilized. (In Finland, the word "Europe" means those parts of Europe that are south of Denmark and West of Poland, plus the Great Britain.) Sometimes this intelligentsia gets an egg on its face because of this attitude. Dennis Mangan gives us a new post "Italians Drink in Binges" that I am sure will make at least Panu laugh sardonically.

The reason is that for some intellectuals immigration is a perfect good because it dilutes the power of the original European settlers. So anything that would be a good reason for reducing immigration must be ignored.
With enough immigrants, the European settlers descendents will lose power. It will pass to the more recent immigrants and then they will be able to get many more of their own ethnicity into this nice piece of land.
Very likely, of course, by that time the land will no longer be very desirable, for various reasons. But at least the faciltators of immigration will have expressed their distaste for, and made unhappy, the nasty folk who live here who have only created most of the good science, art, etc. (see Charles Murray) in addition to defeating fascism and communism.

I used to think that so-called liberals just didn't realize the implications of their belief in maxing out immigration; that if they stopped to think about it, or if it were politely pointed out to them, they would understand that it would be bad for the "workers" and African Americans they so vehemently supported.
Now I have to agree with Robert Hume. Anyone who wants to has had ample time and opportunity to get it. The Left no longer gives a rat's ass about labor or blacks, compared to the Big Prize that has them drooling: the ethnic replacement of the U.S. majority.
Once the country has become hispanicized and no longer has a Anglo-Saxon/Scotch/Irish majority, the gate is wide open for their dreams: socialism, an entrenched welfare state, and an end to all that troublesome patriotism business.

So, when shall the European settlers move back to Europe, then :)? Isn't it a time to do it right now, the housing bubble ready to burst and all? Cash it in and come back where you came from!
No, wait, I remember reading something about immigration to Europe from less-developed areas. Oh well, let's see which side of the ocean will go down faster. Just keep the booze flowing!
